A glossy fibreglass sphere to sit inside, with the room shut out.
A lounge chair in the form of a fibreglass sphere, open on one side, standing on an aluminium foot and lined with natural latex cushions under fabric or leather upholstery. Eero Aarnio designed it in 1963, and its debut at the Cologne Furniture Fair in 1966 was his international breakthrough. Eero Aarnio Originals makes it with 14 fabric colours to choose from, and it needs a door opening of at least 79 cm.
